100.000 Euros for growth companies: the STEP Award 2008. <<
Infraserv Höchst (the site operator of the industrial park Frankfurt-Höchst) and the F.A.Z.-Institut (a subsidiary of the F.A.Z.) jointly created the STEP Award competition in 2006. Due to the large succes, the STEP Award will be given out again this year. It is geared towards growing businesses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Companies in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, bio/nanotechnology, life sciences and renewable energies can apply at www.step-award.de until August 15. To enter, competitors must be small or medium-sized companies. The award-winners will enjoy all-round support: In addition to a cash prize of EUR 50.000, they will be granted a comprehensive service package worth the same amount. It will include services like patent search, and strategy support. Award-winners will also be given access to business networks and infrastructure. The main sponsors of the initiative include the Commerzbank, Sanofi-Aventis, Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw and Merck Serono.
